One of my favorite parts of being a photojournalist, for families and weddings, is the wide variety of events that I get to attend. Last month I caught up with Natalie to document two of her extra curricular activities as part of her senior year photo story.Natalie is taking a Sports Medicine class at school, part of Career & Technical education (CTE), where she can earn college credit and valuable experience as she pursues her career goal of becoming a physical therapist. I took photos of her in action as one of the student trainers on the sidelines of the KR homecoming football game. There was lots of organizing medical supplies and cleaning up small turf burns for players, under the supervision of a professional sports trainer from Apple Physical Therapy.Unfortunately, Natalie is no stranger to sports injuries and rehabilitation. Last year, she suffered a torn ACL playing soccer which required surgery. After a lot of hard work, she’s on the field this year with the varsity soccer team at KR. The team won a shutout game against KM on September 29.I’ll be catching up with Natalie for two more sessions before graduation in June. Enjoy your senior year!
