Steven + Jessica | Tacoma E-Session

I’m really looking forward to Steven + Jessica’s wedding next month, it’s going to be amazing. A couple of weeks ago we met up for their engagement session in downtown Tacoma, where we discovered the quirky side of their city.We started the session at Tollefson Plaza, where an artist has left word tiles around in a life sized version of Magnetic Poetry. This had great visual potential, but we soon learned that the artist focused on compromising word choices not suitable for engagement photos. We found what we needed and moved on.This next image is a little film noir inspired; a little artsy, but I like it.Comment if you know the technique used for the lead image. How is it different than the above one, not including the color processing. The area around the Museum of Glass is pretty cool. They tried to dip each other, but dipping really takes practice and an element of surprise to look graceful. We finished up at the UW Tacoma campus, and the Federal Courthouse (more glass).

Steven + Jessica’s wedding is going to be lots of fun. They plan to stop for a beer at their favorite pub in their wedding clothes, dress up in the photobooth with their family and friends, and dance the night away. I can’t wait!
